Regional CodeShare Comparison

Regional Codeshare provides additional lift to mainline customers on routes generally not considered profitable or consistent enough to justify the use of larger airplanes, to invest in wholly owned aircraft, and to pay higher salaries demanded by more experienced airline groups. It is a hallmark of a network carrier.

The Current Regional Codeshare is broken down into 2 main catagories, Fee for Departure(Capacity Purchase) and Pro-Rate flights.

With some carriers there could be a third style of agreement which represents a codeshare that does not carry the Main Airlines Flag and Livery.
